Register your store’s name
Choose the address you want to use on packaging, advertising and order messages. You can register it at ESDomain and connect the Shopify store afterwards. Shopify subscriptions and store configuration are handled separately. Before registering the name, decide who will own it and which inbox will retain access to the registration account.
Use your store’s Shopify settings
Add the existing domain in Shopify and follow its manual connection process for an external provider. Obtain the records required for the root address and www. Edit DNS in your ESDomain account when using our nameservers. Review conflicting website records before replacing them, and preserve the email records your business still needs.
Verify the address shoppers will see
Wait for the platform’s connection and certificate confirmation before announcing the store. Check the primary address, product pages and links received by shoppers. Use Shopify’s supported test procedure to review checkout. Business email needs its own setup even when the storefront is already opening correctly under the new address.
From name to account
- Search for the name and check availability.
- Choose one or three years and complete the registrant details.
- Review payment and wait for registration confirmation in your account.
A search does not reserve the name. If an order needs review, its status appears in your account and support can help.
