Start with what you plan to publish
Imagine a professional preparing a services website for customers in Spain. She has chosen a name but is still comparing website builders. Her first decision need not be a complete bundle. She can consider registering the domain now and choose the website host and email provider once the project requirements are clearer.
Separate four questions when budgeting: which address you want to keep, where the pages will run, which mailboxes the team needs and who will build the website. One supplier may cover several parts, but they remain different items. Write down what each proposal includes and what you would need to arrange or configure elsewhere.
The domain has its own renewal calendar
A standard .es registration at ESDomain costs €8.99 in total for one year. The initial three-year option costs €26.97 in one payment. The listed subsequent renewal is €11.99 per year. Check the complete spelling, extension and term in the order summary before confirming the purchase, especially when comparing several candidate names.
That amount covers the domain. It does not turn the address into a designed website or automatically create business mailboxes. When comparing a three-year budget, add the services you will actually buy over that period. A hosting promotion covering only the opening months should not be treated as the project’s permanent annual cost.
Hosting depends on the website
Ask the host or builder whether its plan supports your own domain and what publication, storage, certificate and application features it includes. For a shop, check application fees and payment arrangements too. Comparing only the starting prices of two plans can hide differences in their renewal terms or the features the business actually requires.
Your chosen host will supply the settings needed to connect the address. Registration and publication can stay with different companies. Keep those instructions and identify the account responsible for each service. Changing a DNS destination does not copy website files, photographs or store orders from one hosting platform into another; migration is separate work.
Decide which mailboxes you need
An address such as hello@your-domain.es needs an email service configured for that domain. Establish whether a proposal provides a mailbox with its own sign-in, an alias or forwarding: those are different functions. Check storage, compatibility with your applications and the recovery process before adding the service to the project’s recurring budget.
An external provider can be connected through ESDomain’s DNS editor when you use our nameservers. The records must come from the email account you have arranged. Preserve those settings when changing only the website. Test sending and replying as well as opening the website, because a working homepage cannot confirm that domain email is ready.
Build a budget you can maintain
Prepare your own comparison with a row for each service, its initial payment, renewal amount, date and administrator. Include the domain, hosting, mailboxes and maintenance where required. Mark services you have not selected instead of inventing a price for them. This makes the confirmed budget and the remaining choices visible to everyone involved.
You can begin by checking a .es name and its requirements before finishing the website. Retain the order summary and renewal dates once registration is complete. Then connect the chosen services using a written checklist. Buying in stages can help with decisions, provided you know what is still unpublished and who will complete the remaining work.
