Decide which name you will keep
An early product may change direction, but customer and partner links start accumulating immediately. Choose a domain that can represent the project beyond one feature. Check whether the name overlaps with existing businesses or trademarks as well. Domain availability is a technical registration result, separate from permission to use another organisation’s brand.
Set up ownership from the beginning
If the company has not yet been formed, decide who will initially hold the registration and document the founders’ agreement. A future owner change may require a separate process from editing DNS. If the company already exists, use its legal details and authorised contact. Access to hosting does not replace access to the domain registration account.
Connect your first release
To validate an idea, start with a focused page and a form supplied by your platform. Connect the domain once the content is ready and enquiry delivery has been tested. Keep a copy of DNS settings and assign renewal responsibility. The initial three-year option can help you plan the address cost across that period.
